PAUL JONES is a London based session drummer now offering a remote drum recording service directly from his recording studio in South London.
As a seasoned music professional, his knowledge and experience over a 20 plus year period has helped provide that all important backbone for all artists alike including; Alison Moyet, Labrinth, Sigma, (x)Propaganda, Spacek, Mica Paris, Cleopatra (of “Comin’ Atcha” fame), Leee John (Imagination). Also for international artists; Josh Milan (USA), Tkay Maidza (Australia), Rahsaan Patterson (USA), the late / great Don Blackman (USA) and the incredible Bamboo Manalac from the Philippines.
Paul’s personal taste is incredibly diverse, with strong influences coming from the late 80s rave / house scene, add hip hop, 70s funk, early jungle, drum and bass into that mix. Together, these are the foundation for the musician he is today.
Consequently, Paul’s remote drum recording service provides the very same diversity and precision but tailored directly to slot into your song(s), productions and demos!

REMOTE DRUM RECORDING
Having long held the love for pinpointing the song and for appreciating great production, starting the remote drum recording service felt like a very natural progression.
I play with Alison Moyet and xPropaganda currently but have drummed for artists like Labrinth, Sigma, Don Blackman, Raf Riley, Rahsaan Patterson, Mica Paris, Spacek, Cleopatra, Tkay Maidza, and many more.
I’ve worked with producers Dave McEwan, Stephen Lipson, Gordon Hulbert, Livingstone Brown and Pete Waterman and also write and produce for my own side project.
I’ve been doing online sessions for more than 5 years now. My heart lies in groove. A definite James Brown funk and soul lover but I developed a late interest in rock and have always had an ear for well written songs. For sure I will have an everlasting love for all things drum and bass / house, rave! I am endorsed by Zildjian and Remo.
My studio room sound is fairly tight sounding but with a little bit of room ambience, I have a quality mic collection and run them all through Audient preamps.
Add that all important energy and drive to your productions and songs with Paul’s online drum recording service!
